Here Comes The Silky Satin Bride
As you know, I adore all things soft smooth shiny and silky from lovely frocks and blouses to silky undies and luxurious feminine nightwear. I even have soft silky peach coloured sheets on my big white Victorian style metal bed. But my biggest thrill has always been the possibility of owning and wearing a lovely white satin wedding dress. I don’t however like the modern sleeveless styles that fit over the bust, or those odd-looking fishtail things either. No, I prefer those sumptuous creations of the eighties and nineties.
It isn’t’ just about the style though, the new fabrics don’t feel or look anywhere near as good as the old-fashioned rayon and slipper satin that the older ones were made from. Long sleeves, huge trains, and tons of intricate beading are more my style. I have actually owned a few beautiful examples of these fabulous creations over the years and I have to say that they feel absolutely fabulous to wear.
